As 2020 starts winding down, we’re taking the time to wrap up the year and start preparing for the new year. Check out our following tips for staying organized and ahead of the game through this transitional time.
Check in on Clients and Peers
As the year winds down, now is the perfect time to check in on your clients and coworkers. While many of us are still working from home, we do have many ideas for how to virtually keep in touch with your network. Host a virtual happy hour, or simply reach out with a phone call, email or text to make sure you are staying connected and in touch with your circle.
The end of the year is a good time to review social media and think about next steps. What did your audience engage with over the last year? Was it work updates, classes, personal content? Reviewing this gives you an idea of what your audience likes to see. Take that information and save it, and think about those details when planning for the upcoming year.
Review your Year
Take a moment to reflect on everything that has happened over the past year. What classes did you attend? How did you grow or change as a person? Taking a moment to reflect on the year is so important – try journaling, sketching out important moments or creating a photo album as a way to take a moment and let the year soak in.
Set Goals for the New Year
Last, but definitely not least, set your goals for 2021! Whether or not you believe in resolutions, setting goals as you head into the new year can be a helpful way to refocus your business and personal life. Write down a list of things you’d like to accomplish, craft a vision board, or simply take a moment to think about what you could improve upon in the upcoming year.
