During 2020, we have all had to adapt to living with restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. We think this makes it more important than ever to talk about communication and best practices for staying in touch with coworkers, clients and more!
Update Policies as Needed (and share them!)
As we are in a constantly evolving situation, it’s important to update policies as we go. At Canyon Title, we have tried to consistently stay ahead of the curve and implement new sanitation and safety practices to keep our staff and clients safe. From curbside closings to heating paperwork for sanitation, wearing masks and washing hands regularly, we are actively working to stay safe and healthy. For the latest policies at Canyon Title, you can check out https://www.canyontitle.com/. We also make sure to share relevant details on social media to reach as many people as possible.
One of the most important factors to communicating during a crisis is to remain flexible. As it is a changing situation, it’s important to take it day by day. Policies may change as the situation evolves, and that is okay – recognize it, inform your audience about it, and continue to do the best you can with every given situation.
Keeping open dialogue and lines of communication with people in your circles is more important now than ever before. Distanced, outdoor meetings, virtual happy hours and taking the time to be responsive and check in is vital to having good communication and conversation this year.

Find A Balance
Even though it can feel like current events are consuming all of our social media and news feeds, it’s vital to find a balance between ongoing events and normal materials. Share other relevant news and updates along with policies and current events. Make sure all communication isn’t centered around the pandemic so you don’t burn out yourself or your peers on too much COVID news.
